Flatbed freight refers to cargo that does not require or cannot physically be enclosed within standard truck trailers or dry vans. A flatbed truck carries cargo open-air and requires special equipment to secure the cargo to the flatbed trailer.

What type of freight requires flatbed transportation?

Flatbed is typically used when transporting heavy or oversized loads. The most common flatbed freight includes building materials, landscaping materials, machinery, and metal. We also frequently carry high value freight such as jet engines and fabrication machines.
